Freya Higgins has worked as an advocate for the rights of people with disability for the past 8 years, and has worked for PWDA for the past 6 years. She has a particular interest in the barriers people with disability face when seeking support, escaping, or achieving justice in situations of domestic and family violence.

She currently co-ordinates the Building Access to Domestic and Family Violence Services project, which builds capacity in services across NSW to include and support women and children with disability who experience violence.
