Louisa McKimm was admitted to practice as solicitor in 2010 and holds a Master of Laws (Criminal Prosecutions). Louisa currently works as a solicitor and migrant agent at the Immigration Advice and Rights Centre, a service which is passionate about bringing attention to culturally and linguistically diverse experiences of domestic and family violence. Louisa is passionate about getting wider recognition of uncertain visa status as a barrier to the reporting of domestic and family violence. In 2016 Louisa was also recognised as a finalist in the “Not-For-Profit Lawyer of the Year” category of the Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards for her work with vulnerable migrants who experience domestic and family violence.
