Dr Henry is Associate Professor and Vice-Chancellor’s Principal Research Fellow in the Centre for Global Research at RMIT University. Her research focuses on the prevalence, nature and impacts of gender violence, including the legal and non-legal responses to these harms in Australian and international contexts.

Her current research is focused on technology-facilitated sexual violence, and image-based sexual abuse. Nicola has published widely in the gender violence field, including the following books: War and Rape: Law, Memory and Justice (2011: Routledge); Preventing Sexual Violence: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Overcoming a Rape Culture (2014: Palgrave Macmillan); Rape Justice: Beyond the Criminal Law (2015: Palgrave Macmillan), and Sexual Violence in a Digital Era (2017; Palgrave Macmillan).
