Tara Hunter is an accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Family Dispute Resolution practitioner with additional qualifications in training (Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training) and sexual health (Diploma in Sexual Health Counselling). She has extensive experience working as a Counsellor, Manager and Educator in sexual and reproductive healthcare.

Tara has worked as the State Social Worker at Family Planning NSW for the past 6 years, during this time she has overseen the implementation of domestic violence routine screening across all 5 Family Planning NSW clinical sites and has worked to provide advocacy and support for women experiencing domestic violence to ensure they are able to realise all options when faced with an unintended pregnancy.  More recently Tara has worked to support the development and implementation of Sexual Safety Policy training across NSW public mental health services from September 2015 on behalf of of Family Planning NSW.
